The Gazania flower is a low maintenance annual that is native to South Africa. It was named after the 15th century Greek/Italian scholar, Theodorus of Gaza. They are drought and poor soil tolerant and are often planted as ground cover in hot, dry areas. They often bloom from late spring until early fall.
